BACK TO THE FUTURE: The Musical is coming to the Sydney Lyric from September for its Australian Premiere. Take an electrifying ride back in time with London’s Olivier Award-winning best new musical, adapted for the stage by the creators of the original movie trilogy.

Starring Tony Award-winner Roger Bart, who originated the iconic role of Doc Brown on the West End and Broadway, alongside some of Australia’s most outstanding musical theatre performers and exciting new faces, including Ashleigh Rubenach as Lorraine BainesEthan Jones as George McFly, and Javon King as Goldie Wilson.

Welcome to Hill Valley! When Marty McFly finds himself transported back to 1955 in a time machine built by the eccentric scientist Doc Brown, he accidentally changes the course of history. Now he’s in a race against time to fix the present, escape the past and send himself… back to the future.

What time do I need to arrive before a show?

We recommend that you arrive at least 15-30 minutes before the performance starts – or earlier if you would like to enjoy a drink in one of the theatre’s licensed bars.

What if I'm late and the performance has started?

Live theatre has a ‘lock-out’ policy; a period after the curtain goes up when late-comers are not permitted to enter the auditorium. Lock-out periods are set by the production and vary from show to show. Patrons arriving late will be admitted when there’s a suitable break in the performance.
